Pete Burak: Igniting Faith and Leadership in Our Catholic Educators
We are excited to welcome Pete Burak as our keynote speaker for CISVA's annual Faith and Development Day on August 27! Pete is a nationally recognized Catholic leader and the Vice President of Renewal Ministries, serving as a passionate mentor to educators and young adults across North America.
About Pete Burak
Pete brings a dynamic and relatable approach to the challenges and opportunities of faith formation in today’s world. As director of i.d.9:16, he has spent more than a decade building vibrant communities of intentional disciples within parishes and schools. His mission: to equip leaders, especially teachers and staff so they can inspire the next generation to encounter Christ and live out the Gospel with courage and joy.
With a Masters in Theology, years of practical ministry, and experience as a coach and mentor, Pete offers deep, practical insights into the spiritual, intellectual, and personal renewal that Catholics seek. He is known for his engaging talks, regular contributions to Catholic media, and outreach ministries that support both youth and adults in their journey of faith.
Why Pete’s Message Matters for CISVA
As Catholic educators, you hold a unique and powerful role in shaping not only minds but hearts. Pete’s message on August 27 will focus on “standing up” in faith, embracing intentional discipleship, and forming school communities grounded in authentic Catholic identity. You can expect concrete tools, inspirational stories, and practical wisdom on creating a school environment where faith can flourish among both staff and students.
Pete is also a husband and father of five, which gives beautiful depth to his understanding of balancing faith, family life, and ministry. His approach is honest, approachable, and fully aligned with Catholic education: to lead by example, nurture young souls, and radiate Christ’s love to all we serve.
Let’s be inspired and equipped to make Christ known, loved, and imitated in every CISVA school community!
