Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) Day 1
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) Day 1 will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 8:30am - 3:30pm.
This training focuses on problem solving and decision making when managing a student who presents risk behaviours. It prepares staff to prevent and de-escalate medium to high-risk behaviour, and it includes practical skill development to address a broader range of behaviours and emotions.
Key Updates: CPI has a revised 3rd edition.
The shift from the 2nd Edition to the 3rd Edition aligns more closely with modern trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
Greater focus on proactive prevention rather than crisis management.
Trauma-informed and person-centered lens, acknowledging individual student needs.
All staff (K-12). Strongly suggested for School Based Teams (K-12) who support students with emotional regulation challenges are encouraged to attend.
